Rescue League Island Get-away Dance!
Rockport Opera House,
Saturday March 5, 2011, 7:00 – 10:00
Just in time to help relieve some of that cabin fever that is reaching the boiling point the CRARL is having a party! On Saturday, March 5 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House come and spend the evening dancing to not one but TWO live steel drum bands! Planet Pan and Atlantic Clarion will be there to help set the mood by providing background and dancing music with a lively island tempo. To further enhance the festive atmosphere will be hors d’oeuvres provided by Prism Restaurant and Gallery (think fresh fruits, shrimp cocktail and salsa!) and island drinks at the cash bar.

Tickets for this event are $30 each, but it’s not JUST an admission ticket! The purchase of a ticket will also enter you into a drawing for one of several great prizes – including a summer house rental on Islesboro for a week, or a margarita machine with all the accessories, or how about a high-end gift bag made from recycled pet food bags (you’ve got to see it to believe it, it’s tres chic!) and filled with a gift certificate for a hot stone massage from Beauty Mark Spa in Camden and lots of other goodies for you and your pets! Judith Tingley, the Hoop Maniac, will be there with her custom made hula hoops for you to try out and purchase. Tickets are limited so be sure to get yours soon! They are available at the Shelter, Camden Hospital for Animals, PenBay Veterinary Associates, Rockland Animal Hospital, Little River Veterinary, Blake’s Veterinary, Loyal Biscuit, Yankee Clipper and Destination Dog. For more information call the shelter at 236-8702.

Our Mission is to provide a safe, caring environment for homeless and abandoned companion animals until they can be placed with loving families, and to promote humane values in our communities. In addition to caring for the animals the shelter also provides community outreach and humane education programs.

We currently have contracts with the towns of Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville, Knox and Islesboro. We have a full staff ready to help you in finding the perfect pet for you and your family. We invite you to visit or, better yet, volunteer. You just may find that walking a dog, petting cats or cleaning a room will give you a sense of satisfaction and peace. The animals would love to see you and so would we. CRARL is a no-kill facility, caring for animals with exceptional love and attention.
