Collin here, the top office cat at the Camden –Rockport
Animal Rescue League reporting.
Just a heads up. Save this date – Saturday, October 11. The
Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League is holding a Muttwalk in Camden and
Rockport. More information to come in next week’s column.
Be on the lookout for our new TV show on your local access
channel beginning in September. There will be lots of great information
about cats, dogs, training, etc. and you will get to see some of my friends
at the shelter.
Kittens, kittens everywhere, Kittens chewing on my hair.
Kittens climbing up my jeans. Kittens hanging from the screens. There is a
kitten on each shoulder. Will they do this when they are older? I don’t
know who the author is but I do know from experience that kitten when they
become cats still are quite playful and we have many playful kittens and
cats here looking for wonderful homes.
Adoptions
We
have a new puppy in the kennel. His name is Jack and he is a six-month-old
collie, husky, Akita mix loveable but still needs some training.
Butter is a three-year-old Pekinese male who should go to a family without
other animals or children. Darla, the energetic, loving, sleek one-and
a-half-year old Dalmatian mix is still waiting for a new home.
Here
are some of my cat friends who are still looking for a wonderful home. There
is Haiku, who is a gray and orange cat who is friendly, loveable and enjoys
being petted. MacGyver is smart black cat who is very playful and would love
to be someone’s mouser. Two of my favorite little kittens are Yvette, a
female brownish orange kitten and Yukon, a black and brown male tiger. Both
are playful and loveable.
As
usual we need kitten chow, high energy clothes detergent, bleach, paper
towels and small paper plates.
That’s all for now.
